BALTEES project is the origin of co-operation between ecologists of Pomerania and Klaipeda.The aim of the project is to combine elements of formal and non-formal environmental education and promote pomeranian societies development sustainability in both countries. Project is financed in 75% by European Union from European Structural Funds on the base of Neighbourhood Programme - Lithuania, Poland and Kaliningrad Region Of Russian Federation INTERREG IIIA and in 25% form funds of The Voivodeship Fund For Environmental Protecion And Water Management in Gdańsk. General objectivesGeneral objectives are: (1) Creation of the basis for systematic cross-border co-operation among educators of the Baltic region in the area of environmental education. (2) Increase in environmental awareness of local communities and involvement in activities aimed at the improvement of natural and cultural environment of teachers and pupils; as well as (3) strengthening the position of education for sustainable development in contacts and cross-border co-operation of the Baltic countries. Direct objectivesDirect objectives are: (1) Training of Polish and Lithuanian environmental education coordinators who conduct educational activities in green schools and other environmental education facilities. (2) Sharing experience concerning principal natural and cultural problems of our regions together with (3) demonstration and promotion of good practices and examples of innovative solutions at the European level applied in our Voivodship. Other objectives to be achieved within the framework of the project are (4) development of bilingual electronic multimedia educational material and publications, and (5) acquisition of experience in the application of ICT technologies in environmental education. RecipientsEnvironmental education animators working in institutions concerned about environmental protection ISO standards implementation, the teachers, who want to obtain better qualifications in environmental protection area. |
